Classic 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.o

DISTURBING THE HARBOUR PEACE

The car I was for some reason most attached to, so far, my 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.o. I like to remember the day when I flew out to San Francisco and took a rental down to Palo Alto where I found this beauty hidden in a garage. Only rarely driven in the last couple of years. The 83yr old owner who suffered from Parkinson was no longer able to work the clutch. He loved the car, had six Porsches over the years, this one stayed the longest. He shared all the stories, when he hired someone to find such a Carrera 3.o in Germany, when he flew over and drove around Europe and eventually took the car with him to sunny California. He saw the passion for cars in my eyes and was happy he found the right buyer.

It’s indeed a high mileage car, it went from Germany to California, twice. I genuinely think, that cars have a soul and I believe that Palo, as I named her, is quite happy to be back, now in Southern California.

About the video

Not much to say about, it’s the very first video I did, wanted to try how to film and how to cut, add music and all that. So it’s just me, driving around in my 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.o, the harbour of Hamburg, Germany. It was great fun and even though it’s not the most interesting video in the history of ever, I kinda like it. Cause it’s the first one.
