Porsche 911 Backdate 1977 – 227 HP Miami Blue Restomod

A classic that stopped being restored and started becoming something else entirely.

Field Note

There are cars you drive.
And then there are cars that already feel driven before you turn the key.

This 1977 Porsche 911 sits firmly in the second category.

Not restored. Not preserved. Reconstructed.

Every surface, every bolt, every system brought back into conversation with what the car originally wanted to be.

Take a look at the full restoration process and see how it was transformed into a real beauty.

Backdate – Not Replica

The narrow-body chassis carries the proportions of the early F-model era again.
Rear pop-out windows. Metal reshaping. Classic stance returning through modern hands.

A body stripped to nothing, then rebuilt layer by layer until it stopped looking like a project and started looking like a decision.

Painted in Miami Blue – not nostalgic, but loud enough to argue with history.

Engine – Not quiet about it

Underneath sits a 3.0 SC engine with 227 HP.

JE pistons. Zenith carbs. S-cams. Reinforced internals.

It doesn’t behave like a classic engine.

It behaves like something that still believes it’s younger than it is.

The sound doesn’t arrive. It builds.

Gearbox & Control

The 915 gearbox with WEVO short shift doesn’t soften anything.

It tightens everything.

Every shift feels slightly more intentional than comfortable.

Exactly the point.

Chassis – Old Shape, New Nerves

Bilstein suspension. Brembo braking. Reinforced lines.

Nothing here is decorative.

Everything is functional memory, upgraded until it becomes present tense.

Interior – Built, not styled

Custom seats. Harnesses. Insulation. Lightweight structure.

Not a tribute interior.

More like a working cockpit that refuses to pretend this is a museum piece.

Final State

This is not a car waiting for a story.

It already has one.

It’s just now ready to continue it on public roads.
