A Prototipo-based Signature wheel that sits between rarity, balance, and pure racing heritage.

The Momo Clay Regazzoni sits in a very specific place within the Signature Series.
It is not a radical reinterpretation. It doesn’t try to stand apart visually. Instead, it builds directly on one of Momo’s most successful foundations: the Prototipo S.
The structure, the dish, and the overall proportions are identical to the Prototipo S. What changes is the identity layer — the signature, the detailing, and the subtle shift in presence.
At 350mm, it stays in the core size range of classic Momo wheels, and like its base model, it was offered in both black and silver versions.
What makes this wheel interesting is how little it changes — and how much that still matters.
The perforated Prototipo-style structure remains, giving it that visual rhythm collectors immediately recognize. But unlike the Prototipo S, the Clay Regazzoni does not use a center horn pad.
That keeps the wheel visually open and mechanically honest. Nothing added. Nothing hidden.
It feels like a refined variation rather than a separate concept.

Within the Signature Series, the Clay Regazzoni wheel sits in an interesting middle range.
More uncommon than the Jackie Stewart wheel. Slightly rarer than the Jacky Ickx. But not reaching the scarcity level of the Ronnie Peterson.
It occupies that space where availability and collectability are still balanced — present enough to be known, rare enough to matter.
Like other Signature wheels, the Clay Regazzoni was paired with helmet-style horn buttons.
Two main variants are known:
Early version with chrome ring
Later version with black plastic ring
A dedicated signature horn button is sometimes referenced, but confirmed examples remain unclear. Whether it was officially produced or only exists in isolated cases is still uncertain.
For collectors, this remains one of those unresolved details that keep the wheel interesting.

Clay Regazzoni entered Formula 1 later than most of his generation, but quickly established himself as a serious competitor.
He debuted with Ferrari in 1970 and immediately finished third in the World Championship in his first season.
His partnership with Niki Lauda at Ferrari became one of the defining team pairings of the era, helping bring the team back to the front of Formula 1.
Later drives with Ensign and Williams extended his career, including Williams’ first-ever Grand Prix victory.
His life in racing ended abruptly after a serious accident in 1980, but his influence on the sport remained long after.
The Clay Regazzoni Signature wheel doesn’t rely on extremes.
It doesn’t need rarity as its only argument, and it doesn’t need visual drama to stand out.
Instead, it represents a very specific idea within Momo’s Signature Series: refinement built on proven geometry.
A Prototipo that decided to carry a name — and nothing else changed more than it needed to.
