Some steering wheels don’t start as accessories.
They start as solutions.
The Victor Competition Wheel is one of them.
Most collectors know it through Kremer Porsche.
K3. K2. 935. 936.
It shows up in racing history where things were not standard, but fast.
Not designed for comfort.
Not designed for catalog appeal.
Designed for function under pressure.


At first glance, it looks familiar.
Three spokes. Motorsport proportions. Thick grip.
Then you notice the details:
A flattened top section in the center.
A bolt pattern that doesn’t match common hubs.
This is not plug-and-play.
And it was never meant to be.
The Victor system was used across selected racing and road platforms:
Porsche 934, 935, 936
Kremer race evolutions
Later 962 applications
But compatibility was never universal.
Only specific hubs fit correctly, which already limits production relevance today.
The Victor to Momo hub adapter solves the problem – making the wheel usable with any standard Momo hub.


Early Victor wheels are the rarest.
Heavier stitching. Softer feel. Strong visual typography on the center logo.
360mm format.
Flat versions exist, but are extremely rare.
This is the closest version to the original Kremer racing era.


Later versions split into named configurations:
Victor F (flat)
Victor N (standard dished)
Here, the design becomes more modular.
Different thumb-pad layouts appear.
Finger grips vary.
Even production finishes change.
Some combinations appear inconsistent — which is exactly what makes identification difficult today.






The final known evolution introduces 380mm.
Now the naming expands:
Victor 360 / 380
Victor 360 SPEZIAL / 380 SPEZIAL
And even here, the “SPEZIAL” designation doesn’t follow a fully documented rule.
Some differences appear visual.
Some structural.
Some remain unclear entirely.


The Victor system is not a single product line.
It’s a development chain that overlaps with racing needs, manufacturing flexibility, and small-batch adaptation.
Which is why original intent and actual production often don’t match cleanly anymore.
Some steering wheels are defined by design. Others by application. The Victor sits in between — shaped by racing, modified in use, and still not fully explained by documentation alone.
